Unfortunately during my first week, somehow I gained 2lbs. Everyone is telling me it’s muscle but not too sure if I believe it. I think I knew in the back of my mind that I’m not going hard enough and I’m not eating clean enough. I need to increase the intensity of my cardio, eat way better and lift heavier. If I don’t see a loss this week I’m going to be pissed.
Artichoke Pesto:
1 1/4 cup(s) canned artichoke hearts, without oil, drained and rinsed (about 5)
1 clove(s) (medium) garlic clove(s), quartered
1 1/4 cup(s) basil, packed
1/4 cup(s) pine nuts, toasted*

I did a quick 15min NTC workout today after work. It’s called the “Cardio Killer” workout. If you have an iPhone, you can download the NTC app for FREE. I promise you, your body will love you once you begin working out with NTC.
My particular workout today was amazing. I was basically moving fast for 15minutes. The hardest move for me to do was the ‘Alternating Froggers’ because I got tired quickly but was able to recover. This workout will get your blood flowing and mind focused.
Tomorrow, I will be at a 1hr body sculpt class at the gym at 6am. I honestly wasn’t planning to go but because I have a free week pass, I figured it wouldn’t hurt. Plus, water in my street is out from 11pm tonight until 10am tomorrow. I can already see the water changing colour (I just turned the tap in my bathroom on). Anyway, I prefer showering in the mornings and I can’t do without that - well, I already showered tonight but tmr will be a long day so I need to shower in the morning. And I can shower at the gym.
WORK, STUDY, EXERCISE, EAT, SLEEP (my basic routine).

All-Veg
1 carrot
Chunk of ginger, chopped (maybe like a tablespoon
Half a ripe avocado
Quarter of a cucumbe
1 stick of celery
4 oz of apple juice
Ice Cubes
Chop all the vegetables in a blender. Blend with the apple juice until smooth.
Another smoothie from the Nike Training Club.
Lean Green
2 slices of melon
Handful of fresh mint
1/2 bag of fresh spinach
1/2 a mango
Quarter of a cucumber
4 oz of apple juice
2 tbsp plain yoghurt
Ice Cubes
Put the spinach in a blender. Blend until it’s reduced. Add everything else. Blend together.

Pre-Game Boost
4 or 5 strawberries
Handful of raspberries
1 banana
3-4 fresh pineapple slices (or a 1/2 a cup of frozen pineapple)
4 oz of orange juice
Ice Cubes
Throw everything in a blender and blend until smooth.
